Fuji Xerox focused attack on counterfeiting achieves major breakthrough

Petaling Jaya, MALAYSIA – 21 September 2011: Fuji Xerox Printer Channel today announced another successful major raid of counterfeit consumables, this time across five separate locations in Selangor, Malaysia. Fuji Xerox Printer Channel seized more than 2000 counterfeit toner cartridges. These raids will help close down one of the largest counterfeit rings operating in Malaysia today, with a number of investigations and actions still ongoing.

This latest raid is part of an ongoing, systemic attack on counterfeiting from Fuji Xerox Printer Channel. In recent months, large numbers of consumables have been seized in a number of raids in Malaysia and across the Asia Pacific region, with seized goods valued in millions of Malaysian Ringgit.

Counterfeit consumables can have significant impact to printing quality and printer reliability. In addition, counterfeiting can significantly harm authorised channel partners who sell genuine consumables. With these activities Fuji Xerox Printer Channel has sent a clear statement to counterfeiting operations in Malaysia and across the region, to help protect authorised channel partners.

Consumers who are concerned that they may have purchased counterfeit cartridges can find guidance by emailing Fuji Xerox on CRC@FujiXerox.com or by visiting http://www.fujixeroxprinters.com.au/en/supplies/xeroxauthenticationlabel.aspx.
